Should I recover Windows 'to first partition only' or to 'the entire HD' or to 'entire HD with two partitions'? Have this question.on the Preload Wizard when trying to reinstall Windows on my new hard drive.

  1. I am unsure which recovery partition you refer to in Disk Management, but if you can access disk management, then you must be able to access windows - so why do you need to recover from the hard drive recovery partition please 3. It is impossible to offer further advice until I have the details of the exact model.
  2. Recover windows to the first partition. Recover windows to the whole hard drive. Recover windows with 2 partitions. I am unclear what this means. What I want to do is have one big hard drive. I think this is option 2, but wanted to check with those in the know to see if this assumption is correct. If I do choose option 2 will I lose.
